Who Are We?
As someone who grew up in North Tonawanda, I know how important it is for our gym to reflect the warmth, pride, and unique community spirit that defines the Tonawandas — especially NT. This community shaped me, and it’s important that Timberstrength feels like a place built by and for the people who live here.
Since purchasing the gym in early 2025, my focus has been on making real improvements — upgrades that matter, systems that work, and a facility where you, our members, have a genuine voice. Every change has been made with the goal of creating a space that supports your goals and reflects the strength of this community.
I’m proud to say that Timberstrength is now officially a 24‑hour facility. This was one of the biggest milestones in our rebuild, and it’s something I pushed hard for because I want to remove every barrier between you and your goals. The only excuses left are the ones we create in our own minds — and I’m committed to giving you a place where those excuses have no room to stand.
I won’t pretend the journey has been easy. There was — and still is — a lot to fix, modernize, and elevate. But every step has been worth it. This gym exists to make fitness your passion, your outlet, and your community.
Thank you for your patience as we continue improving. The progress is real, and it’s happening because you deserve a facility that matches your drive.
What Can a Gym Membership Do For Your Health?
Health is NOT just the absence of illness or disease! Health is physical, mental and social!
For GOOD health, you really need all three, AND, even if you have an illness like diabetes, COPD, arthritis or similar, a gym membership may be a great thing!
Movement, no matter how minor, gets our heart pumping, our joints lubricating, and our lungs clearing!
Doing something physical, that is not just a normal activity (like laundry), releases endorphins which help with pain, help you sleep better later, and improves your ability to deal with stress.
Going to a gym also helps you avoid isolation, helps you make new friends, stimulates competition, and gives your mind something to do beside focusing on who cut you off in traffic or your annoying co-workers!
For families, gym membership and working out together means less screen time and enhances togetherness!
